About Us.

Sure Start is a government led initiative aimed at giving every child the best possible start in life. Sure Start works in partnership with statutory, voluntary and community sectors and parents to promote the physical, intellectual and social development of babies and young children so that they can flourish at home and when they get to school.

Blossom Sure Start has been offering a range of services to families with pre-school children to help them reach their full potential since 2001. Services are offered both in your own home and in local venues. The multi-disciplinary team consists of a wide range of professionals including: Health Visitor, Public Health Nurse, Parenting Workers, Occupational Therapist, Speech & Language Therapist, Early Education Team, Family Support Team, Bi-lingual Family Workers, Creative Arts & Play Worker and Parenting Worker for Men.

Sure Start services are available to all families with at least one pre-school child who lives in the following electoral wards: Annagh, Ballybay, Ballyoran, Brownstown, Corcrain, Tavanagh.

Blossom Sure Start is managed by a Committee made up of representatives from statutory, voluntary and community organisations with an interest in support services to families with young children. It includes parents, local early years groups, community organisations, voluntary organisations such as Early Years - the organisation for young children and Southern Health & Social Care Trust.
